Getting a Special Power Of Attorney notarized in the Philippines (for Authentication of School Documents in the USA)

So me and my son went back to the Philippines from San Diego, California.

It has to do with my marriage and my son and I decided to go back and start anew.

We left the US on July, 2017 so no school yet then, 'coz t'was about to start in August. While in the Philippines, school has already started last June. A month late for my son to be enrolled and it took us 7 school inquiries and tries to get him in but nada!

Thankfully, I got a call from Perpetual Help College of Manila and asked for the school requirements, etc., etc... BAM! My son got in! The only problem is the DepEd requirements of an Authenticated Transcript of Record from where he schooled before. After all the request of help from my soon-to-be-ex-husband, everything is on hold.

Months long has passed, I asked my friend and her husband agreed to do it for us. I'm blessed with such good friends like them.

So the light from the tunnel is about to be reached. Well, it should coz March is only a few weeks away!!! OMG!

So the Consulate in the US is asking for requirements. One of them, is the special power of attorney, given the fact that I'm letting my friend to do the work in my place. And whoah! I never thought, that, notarizing a Special Power of Attorney would be that hard till I've experienced such today.

So I went to the NOTARY PUBLIC hub in LTO, Espana. Two of the booths says they can't do it because it has to be no erasure and preferred to be computer-typed. And both of them mentioned about a clearance. They said to go the City Hall. So I went. I asked the information guy and point me off out of the city hall. Makes no sense! I was starting to wonder why it's outside. I even mentioned that the SPA is to be used in the US. Anyway, I walked along that Mayaman St. going towards Kalayaan Ave. I asked the Xerox Cooperative lady and point me off inside the Bureau of Fire Protection office, 2nd floor, Releasing-Exit Area. Did that and there's 2 ladies who's so busy and hard to bother yet I asked. Says no computer. Frustratingly, I really did see none. One lady instructed me to just type it and present it to them to be signed, stamped and sealed on. I left the BFP office, walked along Kalayaan Avenue. There's 3 computer service shop but they can't accommodate me either. I found myself walking along Matalino Street, this time.

Quezon CIty Hall
Matalino Street

I asked the vendors where I could find an Internet cafe or shop so I could type and print the SPA. Again, I walked towards where they led me to go-- Malakas Street and all the way to V. Luna! I finally found an Internet shop! Oh boy! And guess what? No printing at the moment, he said!!! Oh yeah, I'm so pissed, tired and frustrated. After all, no one, at least, around my "circle", will do that LOOOOOOONNNNGGGG WALK unless its a walkathon! Anyways, I took a tricycle back to City Hall and ride back home.

I guess its not my day. I left home 1230. Back at 430PM. 😢😢😢

Calling all the Internet shop business owners, PLEASE find a spot near the Quezon City Hall. You're very needed there! This goes out to all the city halls and government agencies, too. We need an Internet/computer service around these areas. Oh and btw, the fee is 250pesos.

Maybe the DAY is tomorrow. We'll see. To be continued... 😛😛😛
